The Core429 Development Kit enables avionics designers to evaluate the functionality of Actel's Core429 with a full development kit that includes ARINC 429 example software, Core429 programming files, ARINC 429 physical connections, and full user documentation.
Designers can use the files provided with the Core429 Development Kit to program the M1AFS1500-FG484 device on the Fusion Advanced Development Kit in creating an ARINC platform with four transmit channels and four receive channels. The Core429 Daughter Card has ARINC 429 physical connections and is plugged directly onto an IP-DC-SA IP Daughter Card, which provides a bridge to the Fusion Advanced Development Kit. The Core429 Development Kit gives designers complete control of an ARINC 429 evaluation system that is compliant with the ARINC 429-16 specificatio.

Core429 Daughter Card
The Core429 Daughter Card contains the external line drivers and receivers needed to transmit and receive ARINC 429 data on an ARINC 429 data bus. The daughter card has four male DB9 connectors; one for each channel in the Core429 demonstration design. The Core429 Daughter Card connects to the IP Daughter Card board using the 90-pin C429 interface connector.
IP Daughter Card
The IP Daughter Card acts as a buffer between the Fusion Advanced Development Kit board and the Core429 Daughter Card.
Following are the features of the IP-DC-SA IP Daughter Card:
- Controller–area network (CAN) bus interface support. The DB9 connector and connectivity supports CAN bus development.
- 9 V power supply connector jack with on-board 5 V and 3.3 V power supplies
- Connector to Fusion Advanced Development Kit (M1AFS-ADV-DEV-KIT)
- Connector to ARINC429 Daughter Board (CORE429-SA)
Core429 Demonstration
The Core429 demonstration design implements an ARINC platform with four transmit channels and four receive channels into a single M1AFS1500 FPGA, so you can evaluate ARINC 429 functions using Actel's Core429.
