The Cortex™-M1-enabled System Management Development Kit has been discontinued, per PDN 0904. Actel recommends its replacement kit, Cortex-M1-enabled Fusion Advanced Development Kit.
The Actel Cortex-M1-enabled System Management Development Kit provides an excellent platform for developing system management applications and/or applications with a microprocessor. The kit includes an Cortex-M1-enabled Fusion device, a system management GUI, and a platform for systems that performs these functions:
- Power-up detection
- Power sequencing
- Thermal management
- Sleep modes
- System diagnostics
- Remote communications
- Clock generation and management
The board includes an M1AFS1500 device, which is compatible with Cortex-M1, Core8051, and other processors, as well as non-processor-based implementations. The kit's demonstration design uses the MicroC/OS-II on Cortex-M1 with the system management GUI, which is multi-tabbed for board status, application data, IPMI data, and a graphical display of the monitored analog data. In addition, the GUI source code is available for custom modification. The system management GUI is multi-tabbed:
- Board status
- Application data
- IPMI data
- Graphical display of analog data
The GUI helps users to:
- Monitor power supplies
- Monitor temperature sensors
- Set LEDs and text for display
- Set and read the RTC
- Display embedded flash contents
The Cortex-M1-enabled System Management Development Kit is also available with an optional FlashPro3 programmer.
The Cortex-M1-enabled System Management Development Kit includes the following:
- Evaluation board with an M1AFS1500-FG484 Fusion device
- FlashPro3 programmer (optional)
- Portable and ultra-small form factor
- Power source via USB 2.0 connection
- Includes FlashPro software, user's guide, and programming cable
