IAR Systems® is one of the world's leading producers of development tools for embedded systems. The company was founded in 1983 and brought to the market one of the first implementations of a C compiler for an embedded Microcontroller. Since then, IAR Systems has grown into a global organization with offices in Denmark, England, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Japan, China, Brazil and the USA.

IAR Systems offers design service for:

1. Embedded Workbench ARM/Cortex: The Embedded Workbench for ARM/Cortex is an integrated development environment for building and debugging embedded ARM applications using assembler, C and C++; it includes a project manager, editor, build and debugger tools with support for RTOS-aware debugging on hardware or in a simulator.
   
   Best-in-class code density comes with a wide variety of debugging solutions, ROM Monitor, IAR JLINK JTAG debugger, and many third-party JTAG debuggers. Also, the code density works with third-party middleware tools such as RTOSes, USB and TCP/IP stacks, embedded file systems, and GUI libraries that is backed by local technical support.
2. visualSTATE®: visualSTATE is a suite of graphical UML Statemachine design automation tools for embedded systems. The IAR visualSTATE is an ideal tool to use for demanding event driven embedded applications. It automatically generates compact ANSI C code from UML statechart diagrams. It allows users to easily model complex mappings of inputs to outputs. Creating state event machine models of the dynamic logic layer of an application allows users to work systematically, at a high level of abstraction. visualSTATE also creates instant documentation at the same time as the code is being created.
3. C/C++ Compilers for 8-, 16- and 32-bit MCU architectures as well as DSPs.
